Over 100 years of Western European gold heart necklace with a dot in the center … Need help?

Okay so my grandmother gave me a necklace that was her grandmother and is over 100 years old. I'm not sure if it's Swiss, Austrian, German or however. I have a picture of her, but is a little smaller than an inch, which is a heart of gold with a metal point at the average rate recorded on it. It seems to be a medallion, but no longer is gold chain and links are like mini and delecate rectangles. I know this is super vague, but maybe if theres an expert in antiques or someone with a collar like me out there who can say it or where to find more about it .. to be great and please no stupid answers!
