What do you think about using live goldfish in a bowl as a centerpiece for a wedding?

My cousin is getting married in two weeks and yesterday, she trusted in me at the wedding of his sister who was going to have live goldfish in her own wedding as a centerpiece. I happen to raise koi, so I was a little concerned about the treatment of goldfish. Should I try to persuade her out of it or just let it be?

I think it is grossly inhumane, if they are aware of this and do not tell, that was just as guilty of negligence as it. I do not think I'll never understand this phenomenon of having to have live fish in the tables. It seems a little distasteful, IMHO, to celebrate the beginning of the life of two people united for torturing fish all day for the sake of vanity. Moreover, it seems a bad way start a marriage. There are so many options out there, such as booking a place that has fish tanks or ponds. I have seen several beautiful outdoor wedding place beside or above koi ponds in the gardens become facts absolutely romantic. Or, instead of live fish, exotic-looking, fresh fruits and vegetables with bright colors they can float in the bottom of the vases of floral arrangements (* as kumquats, berries, etc.) Try to persuade her to leave, stating the reasons why you should not in all calm and rational as possible, bearing in mind that this is your big day and his dream for your wedding. If you can not convince her not to have some fishy guests at her wedding ask how they plan to fish after wards? You may be able to persuade him to leave saying if she does not plan to fish and can be stuck with the unpleasant task of quickly finding homes for all the fish before you start your wedding party held at the end of the night, while only kumquats and berries can be thrown out or, preferably, composted.
