Van Briggle Mark Question?
I own a Small Blue/turquoise bud vase and it has the AA mark on the bottom. However, I can’t seem to find an example online of any Van Briggle pieces marked with just the AA and no other markings like Colorado, the date, etc. Do pieces with just the AA exist or do I have a fake?
Actually I was born and raised less than five miles from Van Briggle’s in Manitou Springs. I have been there many times and my parents bought several of their pieces. Unfortunately, to be sure you have a Van Briggle you would have to have it authenticated. But the two A’s is a Van Briggle mark, although without seeing them… Below is a web page that might help you…
