Bulbous Vase
Is this an old vase?

I have a vase I picked up at a thrift store in New York long ago, and I'm not sure if it's old. The bulb at the bottom and tapered and ruffled at the top, with a bright blue color green graduating at the top. It seems as if the overlay scratches colors to reveal the clear glass in places. At the bottom there is a large "5" mark. I checked on eBay to see if a similar vase, and there is none. I am currently living in Hawaii, and really there is no antique shop here. Any ideas?
