egg found in pot?

A dove laid an egg just this morning in my strawberry pot. I'm afraid that one of the neighborhood cats might get and in addition to wet when watering, by mistake. What should I do? How do I remove and try and incubate, place it somewhere else or just leave as it is?

um .. like others said .. i dont think I could survive without the mother bird …………. you can test .. haha ….. try to find a dove's nest and put the egg with other eggs … gonna have another mother … xD
