What size cage do I need to pound a cocker spaniel adult?

I was wondering if a 24 "cage folding kennel would well. My cocker spaniel is only 5 months so it's not great yet, but I do not think it will be as large as the cocker spaniel others. I saw his parents and arrived only to the knees. Would it still be okay if I have that size?

I know the heart of the first poster is in the right place, but more Bigger is not necessarily better for a puppy. Must be able to stand on it, turn around and lay down comfortably. If the kennel is too large, will feel comfortable using as a dip too. Many people get a kennel the size of adults in mind and make or buy dividers to create the right size for the dog in time.
