Divided Serving
How many hours a week, on average, would be work, a law professor?

What time is divided between teaching classes, doing one on the research and publication, serving on committees and doing whatever else a law professor does?

Probably about 60-70 hours a week would be average. That is what would be in my field. Education classes is only a few hours, but preparation of the classes (along with the grading and office hours) can take 20 hours a week. Then, it is likely that at least 10 hours to the department and committee meetings. The remaining The week is filled with research and writing. The teachers basically work the hours they can without going crazy.
