Pigeon Forge Pottery was founded in 1946 by Douglas Ferguson. Created many animal sculptures based on the Smokey Mountain area near Pigeon Forge, Tn. Over the years, many people visited the pottery holiday with members family, to see the articles did. Upon leaving, they would pick up a point or two in memory of his trip. I live in Memphis, Tennessee, and I actually went to Pigeon Forge with my parents about 15 years ago. We saw pottery is being made and I think my parents, took a couple of pieces. Whether or not you still have them, I have no idea. But I can see everything you remember! I think about driving Gatlinburg, TN in the next couple of months, the pottery shop is still open?!?!
