Does anyone know the name of this band?

They were Germans. Was conducted in the 70's or early 80's. Part of his name translated into English was "fragments", as in the broken pottery or glass. His style was kind of hard rock. Its lyrics included social commentary. A German friend played for me, but I did not understand, I do not follow them much. Now I would like to check out again. Thanks Thanks Dr. D.
