The inside of my vintage Gucci needs to be re-lined, is the Gucci store an only option?

I got a gorgeous Gucci tote from mom, but the inside desperately needs to be relined, I don’t really want to ruin it’s authenticity by taking it to a random place…any suggestions? does anyone know if the Gucci store is the only place to go? If so, how much? and Seriously, are they going to look at me weird? lol Thanks in advance~

God no they won’t look at you weird, they’ll be very pleased to have someone that recognizes the importance of doing it right. I would tell them that your girlfriend (me) went to the Gucci store in Caesers Palace to reline her purse and they did it for free, because the silk should have lasted “forever” and they wanted to maintain the integrity of the whole purse. Tell them you inherited it from your Mom, they’ll be really touched..
