About FSC
FSC certification is the most trusted and valued system of responsible forest management. FSC is renowned for their rigorous chain of custody program. FSC consistently strives to conserve natural forests; protect high conservation values and ensure environmentally responsible, economically viable and socially responsible forestry practices. Many major brands, including Pottery Barn, Build-A-Bear Workshop and Williams-Sonoma, Inc., have committed to operating in an environmentally sound manner by choosing FSC certified vendors. The FSC label may be found on marketing materials, catalogs, reports, packaging materials and more.

About the Author
My grandmother gave me a set of Tea Cups (4 small 2 large) that my grandfather bought her in Okinawa 30 years ago. They are a sage color with dark green and black swirled in. They are double layered with the outer layer having hearts shaped cutouts in it. The pottery is crackled (not from age…they were apparently fired that way). The bottom of the cup has one word inprinted in it…Japan. Has anyone seen or heard of anything like this, and if so, how would I search for more of them or more similar to them. Oh…and I’ve already checked ebay.
I am Japanese American, Sansei. They sound like Soma cups. They are made in Soma Japan. I have Soma cups and teapots. They may have a Gold Leaf horse logo on them. They are expensive. The teapots are over $100. The gold horse is for trademark protection because there are fakes in the market. If your cups do not have the horse trademark, do not worry. The older cups do not have them. Keep them. They are valuable. The following site shows soma pottery. 6 cups for $90.
