Is there a quick and easy way to process “raw” clay by hand?
What about the smaller impurities that can’t be “screened” out? will they cause problems while the pottery is baked? I’m trying to do it old style open fire like the indians us to, but I can only find bits and pieces of information.
You should use your feet to mix the clay- you have more control. For a good bit of information from preparing the clay to the firing process you can try http://www.nativetech.org/pottery/index.html . hopes this helps.
