gift giving etiquette to italian long distance relationship boyfriends family second time round?
last time I visited them in the region of lombardy italy i bought
-a local novelty honey/mead wine
-good quality tea from selfridges
-coconut chocolate dipped shortbread from prince charles duchy originals
-a Pottery Cow for the mothers birthday
-a tub of jellybeans and an auden poetry book for my bfs birthday
they sent me home with soooo much!
-a minituare violin-their town is home to the stadavaria violin
-limoncello
-local pear liquor
-a bag of torrone (local dark chocolate coated nougats)
2 mini boxes of pocket coffee chocolates
2 minis boxes of ‘baci’ chocolates
a good quality pannettone
cavalli perfume
cavalli body lotion
they even offered me slippers!
plus they kept treating me to meals, wine, coffee, pastries, sweets etc wherever i went!
I’m really embaressed/yet happy at their generosity and he said they love me…

What do I bring them when i stay with them again at the end of january?
You must remember that you are 17 while they are grown ups and possibly financially stable. Also, you were the one who went to their hometown. For these reasons, you don’t have to be embarrassed because they gave you more things. They showed you that they care about you and you should be happy about that 
Next time you go, you don’t have to compete with them and take more than they gave you. Something small and meaningful would be appreciated. However, if next time your boyfriend visits, try and return their favour.
