What could cause blue-gray cyst near my wrist?

Today I noticed a gray-blue mark the size of a coin the area around the wrist. When I ran my fingers over it I realized it feels a little bulky as if a knot. I have no idea how it got there's trademark and has been causing me any pain yet, but should I worry?

A cyst is not the first thing that comes to mind? I imagine it was either a less likely to bruise or a blood clot?
