The remarkable African-American inventor, Elijah McCoy was issued more than 57 patents for his inventions during his lifetime. His most famous invention is a cup that fed lubricating oil for bearings machine through a tube of small caliber. As a mechanic in early 1870 realized that the machines had to be stopped every time they need oil, losing time consuming and costly. McCoy invented a device for petroleum, while machinery was working. Pronto is used in engines, locomotives train, in steamboats of the Great Lake, in transatlantic and machinery in factories. His invention became so popular that no machine or machine is considered complete until McCoy had a lubricator. The phrase "The Real McCoy" soon caught on as a way of saying that people were getting the best equipment available.
