How much rabbit pellets should a 1 yr old Dutch Rabbit be given daily?
I just adopted this dutch rabbit two days ago from the Humane Society and brought him home today and his current weight is 2.90 pounds from the what the paperwork does say and my question is how much rabbit pellets should he given to him
General rule is about 1/2 cup of plain good-quality pellets per 6 pounds for an adult rabbit. So for a rabbit that’s about 3 pounds, 1/4 cup per day. That’s in addition to unlimited good quality grass hay and daily fresh vegetables. As with any other living creature, metabolisms vary. So monitor his weight. If he’s too thin, feed more, and if he’s overweight, feed less.
