What is the best and safest spray paint to paint with fake flowers?

I'm using some fake flowers in my Christmas decorations made fabric. I wanted to spray a little bit of gold or silver, but keep part of its original color. Just need to know which is the safest spray paint out there for this. And yes, I will be the use of lights with them.

I do not use a spray paint in the artificial flowers. Spray paint tends to fog throughout. I use a craft paint that can be applied either with a stiff bristle brush that only areas of the flowers you want to paint. Shop craft carry small bottles of gold and silver, paintings, many other colors as well. You will be able to do this at home. You never want to spray paint on the inside.
