Arthur Court Server Ware are not Just Serve Ware

Arthur Court Designs sells serverware like plates, trays, bowls, chip & dip servers and other items. However, their focus is on design and this focus makes the serve ware display and collectible items.

The server ware is made of cast and polished aluminum that shines like silver, and incorporate marvelous designs inspired by nature and man made artifacts. Shapes and patterns of leaves & flowers, animals, birds and even insects like the dragonfly are used freely in the designs.

Tradition is another source of inspiration for the serve ware designs. Traditional American, Christmas, Halloween and the Cross are the themes emphasized by many designs.

Arthur Court, who had worked for design and decoration firms for eighteen years before starting the company, promoted Arthur Court Designs. His wife Elena Orsini-Court studied Oriental art history and Modern Art and is part of the product development team.

The husband and wife are avid collectors of minerals and artifacts from all over the world. These objects provide inspiration for many of the designs.

The result has been a range of stylishly designed serverware incorporating themes from nature and other sources.

The Fleur De Lis Plate w/Server – http://www.madelineashley.com/photos/AC04-0890-2.jpg – made with sand cast hand polished aluminum shines with a lustrous brilliance and incorporates the pattern of heraldic lily of three petals.

The Elephant Ice Bucket w/Tongs – http://www.madelineashley.com/photos/AC10-2756-2T.jpg – focuses on the African Jungle represented by its majestic representative, the African Elephant. The elephant emblem that prominently decorates the bucket is made from sand cast hand polished aluminum.

The horse Deviled Egg holder tray that can hold 12 eggs – http://www.madelineashley.com/photos/AC10-2758-2.jpg – sports horse head handles and a lasso pattern surrounding the tray.

The Frog Platter has a clean rectangular shape – http://www.madelineashley.com/photos/AC10-2760-2T.jpg – and has two aluminum frogs perched at one corner.

The Arthur Court range includes not only serve ware but also decorative products made of the same cast aluminum that is hand polished to a brilliant finish. All the products carry the imprint of professional design that we saw for the erverware above.

Arthur Court does not sell directly to consumers; they depend on retailers such as department stores, specialty gift stores and online stores to get the server ware and other products to the final consumer.

When did you start putting a plate on your child’s highchair tray instead of just putting the food on the tray?

Not yet. Last time she was in arm’s reach of a plate she threw it on the floor and broke it. I’m not sure when we’ll start.
