How can I get my pottery and I invited an invitation only art fair, exhibition, display?

How do I get my pottery and I invited an invitation only art fair, show, exhibit? And how can I find non invitation events? I live in Chicago, I can not believe how hard it has been to find those answers. Thanks everyone!

The main thing you need to do is build a resume artists his work in exhibitions, shows and in print. To do this, start small and display / input any smaller displays and competitions than any can.Keep awards or records and add all to resume their artists (which should include a statement of good artists). Send articles about his work in newspapers and magazines and includes good photos.
