Fixing a crack in a Ceramic Cup?

My favorite cup is the cup of handmade pottery, and in recent days I have noticed a small crack in the wall extending to about 5-6 cm from the side of the cup. I did not think much about it until this morning I realized slowly drain tea accounts. Does anyone know if there is some kind of glue that could be used to fill, and how I would do that? I'd really like to save my favorite cup! Thanks

Once a crack starts, it tends to move forward. Heat the tea causes a small heat shock and the crack will get worse with each use. My mother used to put a spoon metal in the cup before she poured boiling water into the cup. She told me it was to help absorb the heat – if that's true I could not tell! lol To repair the crack in your cup, most say the online resources that use super glue. Personally, I take the cup to a potter and ask them to double as best they can. Really does not cost much and, who knows, may be able to obtain a set of cups favorite!
