Looking for a master saddler in Southern DE or MD’s Eastern Shore?

About 8-10 years ago, there was a master saddler in Laurel, DE. Her name was Bobbie, and her shop on Market St. was called The Stitching Horse. I’m REALLY trying to find her (because she was THE BEST!), but I don’t remember her last name so it’s been impossible to Google her. (I remember that she had a young son, belonged to the Church of the Nazarene, was trying to start a Single Mom’s ministry, and also enjoyed making pottery.) If anyone out there knows where I could find her, I’d appreciate a tip. Failing that, I REALLY need to find a good saddler who does quality, custom work. I have a lot of routine repairs and maintence that I’ve neglected simply because I don’t know where to take my tack, as well as some delicate, intricate projects. I’d like to find someone close by who can come out to my barn amd address some saddle-fitting concerns I have. Any suggestions?

I can’t help you with Bobbie; but I HIGHLY recommend a fitter who travels the east coast between NY and SC. She solved a year-long fitting odyssey for me on my horse with an unusual confirmation. Her name is Patty Merli; her email is pattymerli@gmail.com. She may be able to help with repairs. There is a custom master saddler in VA named Michael Stokes who does great work – look up Centaur Saddlery. He may also travel to DE and/or MD.
