Withdrawal of the artists in New Brunswick author Beth Powning was born into a literary world. His grandfather, a professor of Victorian literature at Brown University, always read poetry at family gatherings. There were a number of famous authors in his small New England town. Some were friends of the family. The young have tea Powning children's author Esther Bates.

Good summer activities for a 6 year old?
Anyone have any ideas on summer outings for a 6 year old?
Some ideas I have already are water park, circus, children’s museum, pottery painting, swim lessons, indoor park, zoo, pony ride…..
Shes an only child so I want to give her a lot to do over summer so she wont be bored.
Tye-dye shirts
Get a big canvas and let her paint it for her room
Chalk
Libraries have lots of activities for summer as well as the city (just go to the city website)
Movies
Bowling
Miniature golf
amusement park
If money is not really a concern then the doors open up more-
disneyland
Build-a bear workshop etc.
Also, just take pictures of what she did that day and let her scrapbook the memories for a fun photo album. Go to a local craft store and let her choose aper, stickers, stamps etc. and have a blast making her own Personal book.
