Syrup Milk
Syrup Milk
Does anyone know how to make a syrup for pancakes w / out milk that is made with ingredients easily?
I almost ran out of syrup and forgot for himself
Here is a recipe from_Cooking With Understanding_, by HL Nichols, Jr. (North Castle Books, 1971). I have not tried. Sugar syrup 1 cup Dark Brown sugar (or light brown if you prefer) 1 cup granulated sugar 1 cup water Stir over low heat until sugar is dissolved, Cool and use. If it is too thin for your taste, you can either boil it down or adding more sugar. The flavor can be changed by the addition of only one sugars. You can peak with maple sugar, maple syrup, or vinegar. My own guess is that a little taste of maple, was shaken to the extent that you are cooling will be great.
