How can I remove rubber tile plastic coating my walls?

I am redoing my kitchen to myself. I have plastic coating 1950 as a Wainscoat on my walls. Is there any easy way to remove the rubber plaster walls after you remove the tile? Thanks in advance for any help. The answers I'm new to yahoo, so if the answers do not answer that.

Go to any good paint store. They sell a product to eliminate age Mastic. Just brush, let it set, then scrape it off. But beware, it's complicated.
