Is it possible to purchase an urn under $100?
And is there really a difference between an urn and a Small Vase/pretty like-wise container with a lid? Also, would it be inappropriate to mail ashes to someone in a pre-selected urn or should I leave the ashes in a box and allow the person to select their own urn.

That’s a lot of questions. Yes it is possible–though Very Rare and difficult. The difference between and urn and a small vase would be the seal of the lid. You can’t just lift the lid from an urn. It has a locking feature to keep it from being traumatic. Imagine if it slipped and ashes came out like it does on tv all the time. No it wouldn’t be appropriate to mail ashes. Ashes would be picked up or hand delivered and as it is similar to a coffin, the person would select and buy their loved ones urn. It would not be selected for them.
