Willow tree advice? Surgeons in pollarding.Tree?

This afternoon me, my husband and a friend were going to try and Pollard one willow in the back of our property. We have never done so much before.But have been investigating how. Does anyone know how Pollard one willow? Has anyone done before? Any advice would be grately received, apart from the settlement to hire a tree surgeon … We do it ourselves. Really bad idea. New branches will grow together and are poorly more likely to cause problems in a strong wind. If you do not want the tree, take it down (not a DIY project).
